What is Direct Primary Care and How Does It Work?
Direct Primary Care or DPC is a healthcare model that allows you to take charge of your own primary care. Imagine a scenario where you have direct access with your provider via in person appointment, virtual visit, text, phone call, or email. It's like having a provider in your pocket for when you need primary care most. The goal of DPC is to reduce individual healthcare costs, increase a patients overall health, and reduce the time a provider has to spend worrying about insurance codes and reimbursements.
Direct Primary Care is based on a subscription model. As a patient-member of Streller Family Wellness, an individual or family will have unlimited access to everyday healthcare needs with no involvement from insurance. Your membership fee covers your in person visits, virtual visits, texts, and phone calls, for all of your primary care needs, including, but not limited to: sick visits, chronic disease management, laceration repair, lesion removal, and routine yearly physical and labs. We work with you to find affordable medication options as well. If extra bloodwork or imaging needs to be completed, you will also receive this at direct pricing (you'll probably be surprised at how much better pricing is available when insurance isn't involved). No need to worry about hidden charges or extra hassles, everything is open and transparent at Streller Family Wellness.
