Hi there,

My name is Jessica Streller. I am a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner and the owner of Streller Family Wellness, a new Family Practice clinic in Mustang, Oklahoma. I hope you will allow me a few minutes to tell you about the new clinic as I’m excited for the opportunity to partner with you on your healthcare journey.

Our clinic will take a revolutionary new approach to local healthcare. One of my top priorities is getting to know my patients and their families, and allowing them to get to know my family as well. This is why I geared my education towards family practice as a nurse practitioner. Relationships are key in the success and quality of life.

With all of this being said, allow me to introduce you to Streller Family Wellness:

Imagine a time that you or one of your family members had a health issue that was a little concerning, but you didn’t know if it was worth seeing anyone about. You may think “I should probably get this checked out.” You have two options.

Option 1 – Call your local primary care provider. With this call you will hope to get an appointment within a couple days. You’ll then have to take time off work or out of your day to go to that appointment. The appointment will take time (on average at least 2 hours), and chances are you will only see your provider for a brief few minutes during that process, as they are very busy. 


Option 2 – You consider going to an urgent care that same day. Once again, it’s time out of your day and it’s going to be money out of your pocket. You may have a long wait, sitting next to other ill people, and you have no idea the provider you actually will see. This whole time you know there is a chance you may get the issue evaluated and find out it’s nothing significant. Time and money that you can’t get back with a possibility of more questions in the end.

With a subscription model of healthcare, this scenario looks so much different. You will technically have a “provider in your pocket”. As a patient of Streller Family Wellness, you will simply pull out your phone, and call, text, email, or even FaceTime the clinic to get some advice on whatever issue you are dealing with. If it’s nothing serious, you can go on about your day. Or, if it’s necessary to be seen in person, you can swing by the clinic and you won’t pay anything out of your pocket that day for the visit. 

Think of it as On-Demand healthcare, always available to you.

Which leads me to the next thing. I NEVER bill insurance (This doesn’t mean you can’t have insurance, we’ll get to that below). But this is why I’ll be able to spend so much more time with you, the patient. With less time spent worried about insurance codes and checking boxes, I can give you all of my time and focus. If you need 30 minutes, you got it! If you need a full hour, it’s yours! Anytime you need it, as often as you need it.

Although we don’t bill insurance, it is still encouraged to have some sort of insurance. My office can assist you in finding a high deductible plan for emergency care if you need it. We can treat 80-90% of all medical issues within our office, however there are things out of our control that we cannot care for in the office. So if an emergency were to arise, it’s nice to have something in place.

If you do not have insurance, don’t fret! Streller Family Wellness is an affordable solution for you to have peace of mind with your everyday healthcare needs. This goes for sick visits, as well as chronic disease management. If you have diabetes or hypertension, we are here to help. If you are young and healthy, we are here to help. I say this because preventive healthcare is key to improving quality of life and preventing those chronic diseases. We are here to help you with all three of these. 

So no matter your situation, with or without insurance, you are still a good fit for Streller Family Wellness, assuming our model appeals to you.

My passion as a nurse practitioner is encouraging people to be healthy and have an improved quality of life! No one person is like another, and every person’s health is unique to them. Being healthy isn’t showing up at the medical office once a year when you feel sick. Most chronic diseases are silent until they have progressed much further. Annual labwork and a good physical examination are important in preventive healthcare. This comes with having a provider that you know well, and that knows you well too. The strong relationship developed between us, will give us the opportunity for wellness and health to be examined and tailored to fit you. 

If you’re like me, you have several monthly subscriptions for various different things (that I don’t really need), like dog toys, tv/movies, razors, t-shirts, and more. In fact, a recent study found that the average American spends $1,497 per month on things that are considered non-essential and only $25 per month on preventive healthcare.

One thing that this subscription model of healthcare allows me to do as a provider, is take on less patients than a typical family practice. Most family practices have to take on 2500-3000 patients per provider to be profitable. I will be accepting roughly a fifth of that. The reason for that is simple. I want to partner with each of my patients and spend more time with each of them to help increase their health and ultimately their quality of life. I want to know my patients well, and help them on their health journey.

The current monthly price for individuals under 50 is only $80 and $95 for individuals over 50. We also have special pricing on family plans as well.

If you’re not quite sure yet, allow me to tell you a bit more about what is included with your membership. Here’s a few of the things that will be included in your monthly membership.

  • Annual physical examination, as well as unlimited sick visits or follow ups with no extra cost
  • Annual labs including: complete blood count, comprehensive metabolic panel, lipid panel if recommended, thyroid stimulating hormone, urinalysis, and EKG
  • Easy access to same day or next day appointments
  • Access to your provider through patient portal and phone, with expected response within 4 hours of reaching out to clinic
  • Further labs and imaging at a low cost rate
  • Joint injections, sutures, Pap smears, toenail removals, medication injections, incision and drainage, skin tag/wart removals are also included.

The other thing that is very important to me is that you don’t spend more time in the waiting room than you do with me.

When you come into the clinic, you’ll enter into a nice comfortable waiting area, where you will be greeted by either myself or another team member and offered coffee or water while you wait (which may not even be long enough for the coffee to brew). We’ll then have two separate patient room types. Why does this make a difference? We want you to feel comfortable. Nothing is more uncomfortable when you want to talk about serious health issues, your concerns, or your questions than sitting on an exam table in a cold office. 

For your annual examination and routine follow ups you will be taken into a consultation room. This will be much different than a typical exam room with comfortable seating and a welcoming feel. We will leisurely discuss all your questions and concerns, as well as take the time to discuss your healthcare plan. When the time comes, if necessary, you will be guided to the next room which is our exam room.

For sick visits and full physical examinations, as well as any procedures, you will be guided to the exam room. This room will be similar to your typical exam room at any office. 

Gone are the days of showing up and waiting 45 minutes in a dirty waiting room to be taken to an exam room to wait another 30 minutes.

And I haven’t even mentioned paperwork. At Streller Family Wellness, there won’t be clipboards full of papers when you show up. Anything we need before the visit can be done from your phone or computer, so your time in the clinic is maximized and not wasted. Again, everything about the subscription model is centered around more time spent together and less time with all the things we don’t enjoy when visiting a healthcare provider.
